What's it all mean?

This offering was so popular as part of our Exploratorium Series that it made its' way into our starting rotation. This coffee takes us on a trip across the globe to the small Indonesian island of Bali. The volcanic soils found there produce coffees that are big in body and have flavor notes that are exotically spicy with juicy hints of caramel. It’s simply a coffee unlike any other we’ve ever roasted. Certified organic, guaranteed to surprise.   

Behind the bean:

Bali is an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, beaches and coral reefs.  In the 1970's and 1980's the government enacted programs to help rejuvenate coffee production with the distribution of coffee seedlings to local farmers, and an island-wide coffee growing campaign began. The use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers is strictly forbidden on the island and all coffees grown there are certified organic.
