What's it all mean?
We roast the beans lightly for a clean cup that reveals its complexities and nuances with every sip. Like all great coffees from Kenya, it is bright, fruity, and has a nice sweetness balanced with pleasant acidity. Percolate, pour-over or cold brew, it’s the perfect companion for the dog days of Summer.
Behind the bean:
This coffee was grown by smallholders, generally with an average of 200 trees each, who deliver their freshly picked ripe cherries to cooperative wet mills. This Lenana was disc pulped, fully fermented and washed, sun-dried on elevated drying tables. The high growing altitudes of the region mean that the coffee beans are grown slowly, leading to ample growing time and more complex tasting coffees.
