What's it all mean?
There’s always a buzz in the roast room when a new origin arrives, and there certainly was when our first-ever crop landed from Papua New Guinea. We chose a medium roast that highlights the savory notes known to the region while letting the bean’s natural fruit notes shine. The result is a well-balanced, full-bodied cup-a real coffee’s coffee. And a big thanks to all our café taste-testers for helping us come with the cupping notes!
Behind the bean:
This limited run is sourced from family-owned farms in Papua New Guinea’s Nebilyer Valley. This coffee comes from 1–2 hectare plots in the Tambul-Nebilyer District. It’s fully washed and sun-dried at the Kuta Mill, a 40-year-old community hub that brings together farmers from the Ulga and Kolga tribes. Under owner Brian Leahy, the mill rewards quality with post-harvest bonuses that support consistency, collaboration, and exceptional coffee.
