What's it all mean?
Getting in fresh crops of beans always creates a buzz in the roast room, especially when it is an exciting new region like Burundi. Known for coffees with great complex fruit notes, we knew we would have a lot of fun roasting and sampling this one. And that we did. We are offering it now as part of our Exploratorium Series, where we take a deep dive into new and exciting coffee regions by experimenting with small specialty lots. It is available now for a limited time.
Behind the bean:
This lot comes from small holder coffee farmers in Teka Hill, Burundi. It is one of the highest growing coffee regions in the country, and the conditions here are ideal for growing specialty grade beans. The beans are processed at the Teka Hill washing station.
